Aviation Careers

There are a large number of careers available in the field of aviation, but not all of them have to do with piloting. There are large ground crews required to keep planes up in the air, so you may look into being one of them.

Aviation Classifieds

People that are looking for a plane or flying gear will start in the aviation classifieds first because there are better odds of finding good equipment. You can find aviation classifieds online or in big cities, rural areas are not nearly as likely to have classifieds for aviation.

Aviation Community

The aviation community is actually quite large despite the seemingly small percentage of pilots that fly commercially. There are a number of people that fly personal vehicles like Cessnas that are considered a part of the aviation community.

Corporate Aviation

Corporate Aviation is a fairly lucrative business because it does not generally require that you work as hard as other pilots. You may just fly them to the city of their choice and wait for them to decide when they want to go back. This will give you quite a bit of free time.

Aviation Forums

There are a large number of aviation forums where you can discuss airline companies, airplanes, or a number of other aviation related information. You can even go on a forum and discuss pretty much whatever you want to in a miscelaneous discussion forum.

Aviation Jobs

The jobs in aviation can be very lucrative and have a lot of benefits, but if you are someone that prefers to be home every night, don't be a pilot. You may want to try being a mechanic, an engineer, or one of the ground crew members.

Aviation Lessons

Lessons can be taken from a certified instructor of aviation if you want to learn how to be a pilot. Check local listings in your surrounding area to see if there is a flight instructor somewhere near you, possibly at one of the airports.

Aviation Maintenance

One of the most important things to do is to maintain your airplane in order to be sure that it will stay in flight. This is why preflight checks are so intense, because lives are at stake. No one wants a plane to go down, risking injury to those on the ground and possibly killing those in the plane.

Aviation Schools

Quite a few aviation schools have grown since the invention of the airplane, and a lot of them are excellent in training in as few of hours as possible. If you want an excellerated course, those are available as well.

Aviation Training

Aviation training is hard to find unless you know where to look for it, so several websites have dedicated themselves to helping perspective students find a flight school near them. This has helped hundreds of people to locate the closest school, saving them thousands in relocation costs.

Commercial Aviation

Commercial aviation is one of the most popular reasons people will go into flight school because they want to see beautiful spots and other countries. It will give you that chance, but the hours can be long and strenuous and you may not get to visit the destinations for long.

Federal Aviation Administration

The Federal Aviation Administation is part of the Department of Transportation and is the watchdog of all things dealing with airplanes. They ensure the safety of the pilots and passengers of airplanes and regulate the traffic altitudes of different aircrafts.

Missionary Aviation

Missionary aviation is the term given to flying to a country or area that has had a disaster and performing volunteer services and giving free supplies to the area. There are a number of companies that send missionary aid to other places, using their own planes to fly down there.
